The DST-FIST sponsored Department of Mathematics, Anna University, Chennai, is proud to announce the conduct of National Workshop on Computational Mathematics (NWCM2017) during 2nd-15th March, 2017.
NWCM2017 addresses the Mathematical abstractions through Computational Methods by bringing together researchers from various areas of Pure and Applied Mathematics.
The workshop aims to build a strong background on Computational Mathematics applied to various fields of Engineering, Medicine, Finance and Science.
The core idea of the workshop is to equip the participants with recent advances in many upcoming topics and also to enable them to effectively use packages like MATLAB, R, etc. which help in the visualization of the Mathematical abstraction.
In a nutshell, NWCM2017 focuses on emerging areas on Computational Mathematics, their analysis and applications to real-world problems.
The main Objectives of NWCM 2017 are:
- To motivate the young minds in various research directions through introductory and research oriented lectures.
- To provide a strong foundation to various concepts of Computational Mathematics.
- To provide in-depth understanding of certain hardcore research topics.
